Role Summary/Purpose

Participate in the design of industrial x-ray, computed tomography and ultrasound systems at GE Inspection Technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create and/or update electrical drawings

  • Design electrical systems

  • Write technical documents (User or Service Manuals, Assembly or Test Procedures …)

  • Write, modify, test and validate PLC programs

  • Create and maintain Material Master and Bill Of Material

  • Support engineering group in any other aspects required

  • Travel may be required to support customer and other GE sites

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent

  • Experience with PLC programing

  • Experience with ePlan software

  • Basic understanding of ERP systems (preferably SAP)

  • Good communication skills in German and English both oral and written

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of GE Proficy PLC software

  • Knowledge of Siemens Simatic Step7 PLC software

  • Knowledge of Non Destructive Testing technology, especially Radiography equipment

  • Experience working with High Voltage (300KV)
