The digital economy and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is changing traditional product management, onboarding of customers and customer interaction into a faster and more effective cycle of feedback and product adaptation.

The SAP BusinessObjects Cloud Development team is looking for a product specialist with strong project management skills that will work closely with a small number of designated key strategic customers, proactively engaging them throughout their adoption cycle. This individual will ensure that opportunities for increased customer value are clearly understood throughout Development and will mobilize resources to ensure these key strategic customers are successful using SAP BusinessObjects Cloud.



  • Relationship Management: Quickly understand the customer value proposition for using our product and establish an open and effective relationship based on value and understanding. Ability to understand all project stakeholders (customers, implementation partners, other teams in SAP) and work as one team together on outstanding customer success.

  • Opportunity and Issue Management: Collection, analysis and reliable dissemination of strategic customer opportunities and issues through multiple channels and systems throughout the global SAP BusinessObjects Cloud team. The analysis you provide needs to be thoughtful, accurate and actionable, and provide the context necessary for appropriate realization of the opportunity or issue.

  • Product and Domain Knowledge: You are expected to quickly learn and absorb the customer’s context, our product, upcoming release contents and apply this knowledge to each key customer project you work on. You are expected to share this information and lessons learned through the rest of the team in various mechanisms.

  • Product and Project Planning: Providing input into the priority and impact of strategic customer opportunities and issues and provide feedback on SAP plans to address them. You are the thoughtful trusted voice inside SAP Development for the designated strategic customer accounts you work on. You will also provide input into customer project plans based on your awareness of the customer and product roadmap and organize design reviews of planned functionality relevant to the customer projects you work on.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Master is a plus.

  • Knowledge/Insight into SaaS business models and the software industry.

  • Team skills: You know how to work with different roles and personality types, align on common goals and have fun working in virtual teams built around the customer’s success.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with rapid pace of change and multiple projects – and to stay organized and on top of the details!

  • Ability to understand the customer perspective and transmit it to others.

  • Ability to take initiative.

  • Scientific mindset.

  • Ability to think outside the box, especially because the traditional box is not as constrained for SaaS products


  • Relevant experience in product management, enterprise customer support or consulting for an analytics, financial planning or predictive analytics software product is required.

  • Experience in a Customer Success or On-boarding role in a SaaS product offering a plus.

  • Communications: You must be an exceptional communicator, written and verbal, with demonstrated work experience working directly with customers in a longer term and meaningful interaction pattern. Presentation and demo experience required.

  • Professional usage of modern collaboration tools and a desire to continually improve our communication with our customers and understand their total customer value of using our products.

  • A minimum of 4 years professional experience in a software product company is required, more is a plus.
