PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As part of the Product & Innovations board area within SAP we are focusing on the definition and delivery of the most innovative enterprise management solution for the cloud SAP S/4HANA. We support our customers’ transition to a digital economy through the end to end business scenarios founded on best practices of best-run businesses.

Our team is responsible for the product management of scenarios (“scenario owners”) in all areas of logistics (Sales and Distribution, Procurement and Materials Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Asset Management, Project Management, Research & Development …) and for industry specifics.

We are executing in a cross-functional team on the delivery of content in SAP S/4HANA for ready-to-run business processes. We ensure that customers can consume the functionality as part of well-defined business process in simple and fast way with minimal implementation efforts. We work with a larger network within SAP to deliver a consistent experience of the solution along the full value chain of innovation to market. We collaborate with partners and customers improving our best practices and engaging in co-innovations.

While we are working with a larger global team, the primary locations of the logistics and industry scenario owners and content build teams are Germany (Walldorf, St. Ingbert) and China (Shanghai). Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.

We offer a variety of trainings virtual, classroom and on the job individualized to the need depending on the experience of the employee.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • You will carry out the responsibility of a product owner for business scenarios such as the rollin of requirements, definition and prioritization of the backlog and initial rollout for a topic within inbound logistics (procurement, materials management …)

  • You define the best practice for digitalization the business processes of our customers powered by SAP HANA.

  • You will have the opportunity to work in an extended cross-functional team including configuration experts, consultants and developers to deliver SAP S/4HANA in the cloud.

  • You work in an agile development model providing customers easy to consume business applications

  • You will represent your topic to internal stakeholders, customers and partners and actively seek their feedback and synthesize requirements into executable deliverables.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

  • University Degree in the field of Engineering, Economics/ Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Technology

  • Very good English and German language skills, general high capabilities in communication

  • Knowledge in Inbound Logistics (Procurement, Materials Management, Inventory Management …)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Willingness to embrace new topics and technology

  • Self-starter with passion to be a hands-on expert

  • Ability to work in an international team

Preferred skills

  • Master or PhD

  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise applications

  • Organizational Talent

  • Ability to think in business needs and translate it to technology solutions

  • Knowledge about Cloud Architectures

WORK EXPERIENCE

This is an entry-level position for recent or upcoming graduates with 0-2 years work experience (internships or first job experience is beneficial for the position).
