PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The SAP BusinessObjects Cloud team is looking for an experienced senior manager and thought-leader who will drive the development and product definition of enterprise performance management services. You will define, coordinate, and lead the complete development lifecycle of a development unit, and work closely with key stakeholders outside and inside of SAP. In this role you will lead the product organization for all aspects of planning and strategy management, which are strongly related to our analytics and predictive topics. Your challenge is to scout out and capture new market opportunities and closely interact with our sales organization to establish the best product/market fit for our offerings.
Key elements of the role will be to drive the product strategy, define a user- and business-centric user experience, show thought leadership outside of SAP through publications and analyst relations, create and grow an effective engineering organization, drive product innovation, and ultimately drive business success.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Drive the product strategy and lead the execution of SAP BusinessObjects Cloud enterprise performance management services.
Create project and execution plans, factoring in essential elements like monitoring and steering.
Manage critical situations and their impact on business deliverables.
Establish thought leadership through publications and analyst work.
Collaborate with a wide range of constituents to identify market needs.
Perform market analyses and develop a differentiating positioning strategy.
Manage a team of marketing, sales, and product specialists.
Develop, monitor, and optimize the digital funnel using metrics and technologies.
Identify and define a targeted audience strategy and a messaging approach.
Create an environment of continuous learning and improvement, where people actively seek to coach and help with team and peer development.
Drive simplicity, develop amazing talents, build a high performing team, and ensure customer success.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
5 years of work experience as a manager in BI, Analytics and/or enterprise performance management.
5 years of practical project experience that cover a variety of scenarios.
Proven track record of domain expertise in BI, Analytics and/or enterprise performance management.
Proven track record of managing large scale projects.
Deep understanding of the planning (including financial planning) market including technology, vendors, competitors and value propositions.
Deep understanding of business intelligence, reporting and analytics.
Proficiency at creating high quality presentations and thought leadership-focused papers.
Practical experience in a variety of EPM applications, especially those that are planning-related.
Experience in information design and user experience.
A team player mindset and the ability to perform under pressure with consistent and high attention to detail.
Excellent collaboration abilities with strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and propose process changes to all levels of management.
Strong people management skills with a focus on driving simplicity, developing amazing talents, building high performing teams, and ensuring customer success.
Travel Expectations: Up to 25%
