PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

The DCC has set up the first design AppHaus in Heidelberg, Germany, with a focus on establishing a creative working environment for the DCC, customers, and internal SAP teams to work together.

 

Our goal is to offer customers strategic design and design thinking services in order to change the outside perspective of the usability of SAP’s products.

We are working closely with customers around design issues & questions using Design Thinking in order to understand, innovate, and implement solutions.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

The position includes a wide range of activities that require clear communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.

 

Be ready for a hands-on-role that often involves working as part of the team is required as well as being open for sharing and learning.

 

The main part of your job will be to support the operational adiminstration and coodrination of workshops in the AppHaus. This includes:

  • Communicating with customers (internal & external) to ascertain their precise workshop requirements;

  • Coordinating parties involved (e.g. customers, coach, facility staff), pre- & post workshop organization, e.g. scheduling calls, collecting feedback;

  • Welcoming our visitors with a friendly smile, helping hands and open ears;

  • Occasionally supporting staff/coaches in Design Thinking workshops, depending on (coaching) expertise;

  • Overseeing the workshop space;

  • Post-event/workshop evaluation including data entry and analysis;

  • Giving tours through the AppHaus.

 

Additionally you will be liaising with marketing and PR colleagues to support social media efforts to promote the AppHaus / DCC and the workshop space.

 

Some operational tasks, such as coordinating suppliers and managing administrative functions, are also part of your job. If you feel like it, you can showcase your design skills to make the AppHaus an even prettier work space!

 

For all your tasks, a high degree of professionalism and communicational maturity is expected. Keep the customer in mind - your goal is to ensure a high-quality customer service.

 

This position is located in the Apphaus Heidelberg .

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m) - Preferred field(s) of study: (Event) Management, Communications

  • Computer skills: Office, optional: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator

  • Language skills: Excellent English and German skills also in writing

  • Soft skills:Team-Player, curious and involved, creative, motivated, reliable, good communication and presentation skills, selfconfident and assertive.

  • Other: Motivated person who is able to work independently and enjoys to work with people and also feels free to express his/her opinion.
