PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The S/4HANA Package Build and Framework team is responsible for the simplified implementation experience of the new digital core (SAP S/4 HANA) and end-to-end (E2E) solutions. This includes the SAP Activate methodology to help partners and customers start fast, and to continuously adopt innovations.
We are looking for an information developer / a technical writer to join our Information Development Team with the aim to deliver product information in a clearly structured and easily comprehensible form.
You will work closely together with our content development teams and with product owners. Additionally, you will work together with other information developers in Palo Alto, Bangalore, and Shanghai.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Your job will be to provide concise and accurate documentation that clearly describes the processes and the implementation of SAP solution packages.
Your tasks will include:
Writing and primarily editing implementation content within a Best Practices project using the appropriate templates, standards & guidelines and specific terminology
Proofreading and editing content for usability, readability, and linguistic correctness
Creating user assistance (UA) deliverables in English and in close collaboration with the content development teams, and other stakeholders to enable users to deploy, administer, and use the SAP software
Ensuring that the UA deliverables are of a high quality, that they adhere to standards and guidelines, and are written in the appropriate style and tone for product and audience
Preparing the SAP Best Practices deliverables for publication using specific Best Practices tools (?)
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
A good to excellent university degree in technical writing or a related subject, or, alternatively, a language-based university degree
Excellent written and spoken skills in German and English, ideally first-language proficiency in English
Good communication and writing skills
Experience in MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint
The ability to express complex information in a clear and precise manner
Willingness to acquire product knowledge and to learn new skills at short notice
The ability to work to tight deadlines, to deliver on time, and to ensure high quality
Flexibility and a readiness to communicate with other team members
This is an entry-level position for recent or upcoming graduates with 0-2 years of professional experience in writing technical documentation in an agile software development environment.
Experience in working in virtual, multi-cultural, distributed development teams is a plus
