Raytheon Sr Systems Engineer II in Germany

** This requisition is contingent upon funding award for the position ** Raytheon IIS is anticipating an opening for a Sr. Systems Engineer II in Germany. As the site CFSR, you will perform software update installations using components from the common baseline as needed, configuration changes, system back-up and restore activities, discrepancy report (DR) identification / reporting / work-off, and perform general troubleshooting and maintenance of the CENTAUR system and its sub-components. The CFSR will work directly with site representatives providing user support for the system and its sub-components. Additional CFSR tasks include acting as the on-site customer liaison to the factory support and customer management team members on all technical issues. The site CFSR provides system and component change/configuration management, documentation, and schedule updates to factory and the site representatives. The site CFSR may assist the Government with Change Request documentation inputs and may subsequently support installation of new data types, rule sets and system upgrades. Site CFSRs also provide informal system training, assistance with installation and configuration and maintenance of the system and its sub-components along with reporting spare utilization information back to the factory when spares are used. Site CFSRs shall assist in CENTAUR system teardown activities as required. The site CFSR will have access to intelligence and classified information up to the classification of networks on the site’s CENTAUR. CFSRs will support system compliance with applicable security directives including by installing factory provided system updates. The site CFSR will be DoD 8750 certified (Security +) Location: Germany Required Skills: Existing Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI security clearance 6 years of applicable experience including experience with and/or knowledge of: In-depth knowledge of either Red Hat Linux/UNIX/Solaris Operating Systems Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 Working knowledge of Windows 7 Bash shell language Host-client relationships Network design and configuration Must have a current passport Previous experience working with the military in some capacity Must be willing and able to travel if required (No travel now but some future travel may be required) Requires proven ability in any of the following: UNIX and/or Linux – 6+ years system administration Scripting – 6+ years writing test scripts or similar Required Education (including Major): BS with Computer or Systems Engineering related major and 6 years of relevant experience OR 14 years of equivalent military and/or civilian experience in lieu of a degree. 88676
