The Senior Pre-sales Consultant coordinates technical pre-sales activities.
He/she transfers industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. Assists in all levels of technical account planning and accompanies sales account managers on visits to customers. Assists in the development of formal sales proposal and presents and differentiates product offerings at a technical level from the competition. The Senior Pre-sales Consultant will also actively participate in internal specialist teams and provide consultative support in specialist areas to other Pre-sales Consultants.
The Sales consultant is an integral part of the Oracle Cloud & Enterprise Manager Sales Specialist team (CEM) and responsible for technical support in all phase of sales cycle. The portfolio is predominantly focused around the new Oracle Management Cloud (OMC) offering but also includes parts of the Oracle Enterprise Manager product set.
Providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts.
Acting as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants and sales representatives.
Developing and delivering high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
Presenting and articulating advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions.
Designing, validating, and presenting Oracle Cloud solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
Developing and managing references through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Excellent communication skills are required as many engagements are at C-Levels at the customers.
Candidate ideally have extensive background in IT Operations Management and have worked for companies in the ITOM space
Familiar with the value selling approach
Good presentation skills
Must speak English fluently

? To demonstrate the credibility of OMC services and solutions
? Building and maintaining relevant relationships with the customer during the bid process
? Work closely with the ECEMEA Enterprise Manager Sales and Sales Consulting team to achieve objectives
The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in Oracle Management Cloud & Enterprise Manager options, and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force.

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
