Product Specialist: Chemistries IDO (Emerging Markets)
The Chemistries and Supplies Division of Agilent Technologies manufactures and markets comprehensive range of Columns, Sample Prep, Supplies products for Chromatography and Spectroscopy. We are looking for candidates who possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, enjoy a challenging and stimulating environment, and have a passion for customer service.
As a product specialist for the chemistries products portfolio, you will be responsible for developing the business in the indirect sales channels of Central Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Through a mix of strong technical skills, relationship building, and business acumen, you will be accountable for meeting or exceeding established sales goals, market growth and implementation of key business development strategies. You will report to the International Distributor Organization (IDO) Business Manager.
Developing the sales of our Chemistry & Supplies products through consultative customer interactions and application support.
The preparation of customer facing technical presentations, trainings and practical demonstrations to aid in the sales of the chemistries portfolio.
Developing a strong relationship with key/targeted accounts, key opinion leaders and academics within the geography.
Engaging collaboratively and cross-functionally within Agilent, partnering with instrument sales colleagues to assist in total solution selling and key projects/tender support.
Working to develop channel partner technical competency.
Work with the channel partners and customers to understand customers’ needs or problems
Proactively identify and recommend solutions to meet customers’ needs or to solve their problems in order to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
Engage in collaborations with customers, direct sales manager and other business partners
Ensure business operations are in compliance with Agilent’s uncompromising legal and ethical standards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Chemistry/Biology) or equivalent. 4 years’ experience in chromatography applications and/or technical sales, with a demonstrated track record of results.
Proven ability to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries.
Experience of working in indirect channels/emerging markets is highly desirable.
A detailed knowledge of Liquid phase and gas phase chromatography and sample preparation techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong initiative, judgment and decision-making ability
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English
Microsoft office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, remote team and able to handle difficult and demanding situations and multiple priorities.
Ability to Travel 50% of the time.
