Medtronic has a great opportunity for an experienced pricing professional to join a market leading medical devices company. As Pricing Strategy Consultant, you will be the pricing referent for an assigned Business Unit within the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group (MITG) of Medtronic for EMEA.
As such, the Pricing Strategy Consultant is expected to fully integrate in the BU leadership team, and understand BU targets and business challenges above and beyond pricing. By doing so, he/she will be able to drive the design and implementation of pricing strategies and guidelines for existing and new products, helping the business to reach its financial targets as well as objective of expanding access.
This individual will also be a key driver of implementation of pricing guidelines, working with country pricing managers and local Business colleagues (key account managers, commercial and sales operations, business directors).
The role is field based and one may operate from its own location. Our preference would be for someone based in Western Europe as long as they live close to an airport andare willing to travel. The role required an estimated 25% travel and the rest would be home based.

Principle Accountabilities of the Pricing Strategy Consultant (m/f) - EMEA
Achieve effective price management (in-market products) optimal price setting and implementation for new products
Defines pricing, discounting contracting strategies
Defines and implements state of the art pricing systems to support EMEA pricing
Contributes to the definition and implementation of new pricing and contracting models, as well as to the dissemination of state of the art pricing capabilities with the organization
Drive implementation of pricing and discounting guidelines in the countries, leveraging local pricing expert(s) and marketing/commercial colleagues. Specific focus will be put on managing/limiting natural price erosion, leveraging all aspects of pricing, contracting, marketing and sales.
Minimum requirements for the Pricing Strategy Consultant (m/f) – EMEA
Minimum 8 - 10 years’ work experience, demonstrating success in
Defining and implementing pricing, discounting and contracting strategies and guidelines, in both tender and private market environments
Running detailed and insightful analytics and transforming analytics into insights into implementation, with measurable benefits
The ability to interact and influence decisions at the highest level of the organization
Combine the ability to think strategically about pricing with the ability to implement strategies at a country level within a Matrix structure
Demonstrate a strong team spirit
Preferred requirements for the Pricing Strategy Consultant (m/f) – EMEA
Ideally, you will also have experience with medical devices or the pharmaceutical industry
Previous experience with strategies fighting pricing erosion would be a plus
The ability to come up with innovative new ideas would be a plus.
