DHL Global Forwarding Design and implementation Manager Finance in Germany
The E4U program will enable DHL Freight to transform form a legacy and historically grown setup into a modern and state of the art business environment. Specific job purpose is to work out the functional conceptional design to evolve from the existing Finance environment of a country fitting to the new TMS environment and to accompany the project along the different project phases (conception, building, testing, fixing, implementation preparation and training) end to end to ensure the required continuity and to build up sustainable long lasting expert know how within the project team. The design and implementation manager Finance is supposed to become the go to person within the E4U program for his/her area of reponsibility for all affected stakeholders. This comprises the setup of aligned processes and interfaces, the design of the TMS integration and new/amended functionalities of the local Finance application in particular and the supervision of the implementation.
Align existing business rules, finance guidelines and processes accross the countries in close collaboration with global functions in the centrally given framework (e.g. ECE-Manual, steering logic, IFRS guidleines…)
Ensure that a consistent e-t-e documentation is available, describing Finance process workflow and activities, required data elements and information flow including interface to the TMS.
Record required local specifics.
Detect automation and best shoring potential.
Derive efficient process organization. (Who does what where in which sequence?)
Design use cases, workflow and integration layout for the amended Finance appllication.
Describe required functionailtes to the required extend for the suppliers and support scrum development approach.
Provide know how to the Competence Center/ensure knowledge transfer
Test provided functionality and record failures.
Sign off provided functionality in colaboration with other functions.
Prepare and support e-t-e test run of the system to be implemented
Support unified basic data setup
Prepare country migration concept in alignment with other functions and affected countries
Elaborate training material
Support training of the super users
Support go live of the application suite on site.
Capture needed change requests if required, specify required functionality, obtain approval for the solution and guide the vendors
Review and validate all key documents for the area of responsibility
Support operational system maintenance where required
Ensure the availability of latest information that internal customers and sponsors can always be informed on project status, progress, issues and risks.
Build up an in depth knowledge base on regional Freight IT systems and pro-actively indicate improvement potential.
Act as “second level” support towards the BPO/super user organization.
Functionally guide Freight country project resources for the affected area of responsibility.
Ensure necessary awareness at key stakeholders
Road Freight industry and Finance expertise
Thorough understanding of Freight Finance end to end operation and interfaces with other functions.
Proven track record on Finance apects along the supply chain, i.e. intercompany settlement, invoicing, file accounting, booking, aggregation of financial figures
Conceptional and analytical skills to deal with complex topics
International professional experience
Master in Business Administration/Logistics/Finance or comparable education with proven work experience
Process design and documentation and data modeling skills
5 years of professional background in the Logisitic Finance sector
English (fluent- written and spoken); German (optional); add. languages are benificial
