Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. Delivery Consultant - SAN in Germany

  • Responsible for delivery of Brocade professional services SAN projects

  • Provide Brocade Network consultative professional services

  • Provide regular status reporting on projects and/or residencies

  • Develop professional and technical skills in support of business initiatives

  • Provide pre-sales technical support of developing business

  • Provide account guidance/intelligence to Services Management team in support of account initiatives

  • Responsible for delivery of professional services projects for core practice

  • Core practice to include SAN

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Provide technical architecture and coordination with project management team

  • Identify pre-requisites for successful delivery and assist with technical project planning

  • Deliver project efficiently and to the items called out in the deliverables portion of the SOW

  • Identify for escalation any items that would be deemed out-of-scope

  • Complete end of project documentation and perform Transfer of Information (TOI) with customers

  • When residency based:

  • Provisions networks based on standardized procedures as outlined by best practice documentation.

  • Provide proactive recommendations to the customer for improving operations and/or effective use of network and/or storage solutions to help maximize their satisfaction with our partner

  • Actively contribute to the configuration, layout and performance tuning of network infrastructure

  • Participate in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans as agreed upon by our partner and the customer

  • Participates in the design and operational execution of the customer's network disaster recovery process as required

  • Represents partner’s in a professional manner to customers, partner management and partner personnel at all times

  • Assist and train both customers and less experienced co-workers as needed

  • Perform necessary network infrastructure maintenance, as required

  • Performs other duties as required

  • Provide regular status reporting on projects and/or residencies

  • Identify items of success and/or concern in accounts for potential escalation, especially items that fall out-of-scope

  • Identify impact and additional level of effort for potential out-of-scope items

  • Identify potential opportunities for new services or hardware sales

  • Develop professional and technical skills in support of business initiatives

  • Pursue technical training paths and industry certification in order to enhance delivery capabilities and resource marketability

  • Identify technical gaps in order to pursue further development

  • Keep abreast of developing technologies within identified products and markets

  • Provide pre-sales technical support of developing business initiatives

  • Serve as SME, where necessary, in order to assist in project scoping

  • Serve as SME, where necessary, in order to assist in services sale closure

Education & Experience

Education level: BA/BS technical degree or equivalent experience

Work Experience:

5 years of experience (>8 years for Senior Consultant) in identified key technologies either as an operations or delivery consultant

2 years of consulting experience (>4 years for Senior Consultant)

Certifications/Accreditations:

Possess an advanced Brocade certification specific to the technology track of core practice. (Sr. must obtain Brocade Distinguished Architect)

Possess TSIA certification in customer handling skills
