Analytic Business Consulting Lead (m/f)

Location: Virtual

Coverage: Germany responsibility

Teradata is building a strategic new consulting practice for Analytic Business Consulting. The practice has focus on business consulting services, analytical services and analytical solutions. The practice consists primarily of Industry Consultants and Data Scientists. These consultants are instrumental in selling and delivering business focused services to Teradata’s customers, thereby providing business outcomes and ROI. The practice works with a technology agnostic approach, but targeting complex high value use cases that also require scalable and agile infrastructure in order to deliver.

Travel will depend on the individual customer locations, a level of 50% to be expected.

Job Summary

The Analytic Business Consulting Services Lead is an instrumental leader in driving and aggressively growing the practice within the Germany.

The role is part of the Country Leadership Team, reports directly to the Country Manager, and is a peer to and works closely with the Teradata Consulting and Think Big consulting practices. The Lead has a dotted line to the Area Practice Partner for Analytic Business Consulting.

The role will be responsible for capture and replication of business orientated services and solutions, such as Industry/Business Consulting, Rapid Analytic Consulting Engagements (RACE), Analytics as a Service, and Analytical Solutions.

Together with his/her team of consultants they will identify, qualify, and deliver engagement successfully to Teradata’s customers. They will meet and exceed revenue demands and profitability targets for this line of service, working tightly with and through the Teradata account teams.

Strong Knowledge Management and IP capture/re-use, both within the geography and together with other practices regionally, is a critical requirement.

While the Analytic Business Consulting services as such are technology agnostic, the realization of these will drive infrastructure usage and provide synergies with other Teradata services across the Teradata ecosystem including Cloud, On Premise, Software Only, and Open Source.

The role is expected to be a trusted advisor to Teradata clients, and to foster an innovative environment for creating and delivering solutions to complex problems. This includes providing thought leadership and mentoring to clients, as well as to the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively establish, grow and develop the practice, to exceed assigned revenue, and meet profitability targets

  • Lead the Germany team of Industry Consultants and Data Scientists as an integrated practice. Talent development, career development, and mentoring for the team members

  • Manage profitability and utilisation of the Analytic Business Consulting practice

  • Execution of go-to-market (“GTM”) plan in line with the area GTM strategy

  • Play advisory role to senior client business leaders in the targeted industry sectors

  • Create, capture and replicate IP within country and share with the region in cooperation with the Knowledge Management function and processes

  • Develop strong working relationships with peer consulting practice members also working for the Country, and support traditional Industry Consultant work within large accounts and prospects

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a business oriented consulting organisation, like a business consulting leadership role with one of the large SIs

  • Excellent client senior level relationship building capability

  • Proven track record of business development and delivery on revenue targets

  • Experience in launching, and executing successful initiatives

  • Powerful verbal, written, presentation, communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience with leading and motivating multi-cultural, cross functional teams

  • Experience facilitating high level client meetings and overseeing a portfolio of projects

  • A thought leader for analytical services and solutions, understanding market trends and technologies

  • Entrepreneurial drive with a can-do attitude

  • Qualified to degree level or professional equivalent is required; M.B.A. or Master’s in a relevant discipline from a top University strongly preferred
