Harris Geospatial Solutions is seeking a highly motivated account management professional to join our Munich, Germany – based sales and marketing team. The Account Manager has responsibility for achieving and exceeding individual sales goals and for helping Harris Geospatial meet business objectives in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands.
Working closely with Regional Sales Team and Technical Team, the Account Manager develops, plans, and executes account and territory strategies. The position is also responsible for selling Harris Geospatial software products and services including training, consulting, and system integration into selected industries in the region by qualifying and analyzing customer needs to determine the best solution. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager (Managing Director) and is generally performed in our German Office near Munich.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Attains sales quotas by identifying, qualifying, negotiating and closing new and current business within an assigned geographic territory and/or industry.
Implements effective sales call plans and strategies within assigned geographic territory.
Expands the customer base through pro-active lead research and telesales efforts.
Identifies new leads through database mining, web seminars, and online sources.
Maintains the internal customer relationship management system with current and accurate information.
Maintains the opportunity pipeline, customer contact information and forecast.
Represents Harris Geospatial at customer visits, field marketing events and industry trade shows.
Assists the training department in selling regional and on-site training classes.
Schedules and delivers presentations at general seminars and customer meetings in the assigned territory.
Occasionally travels to customers, regional trade shows and events.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales; or equivalent experience.
3 years relevant sales experience in the geospatial industry (Services, Software, Data, etc.).
Demonstrated experience with carrying and meeting a defined sales quota.
Ability to collaborate with local teams and international management on strategic business plans to grow revenue.
Understanding of the sales cycle and process, with experience in customer relationship management software (CRM).
First language German and fluency in English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Remote Sensing Software, GIS Systems and Geospatial Market needs.
Self-motivated, high energy and goal oriented.
