Development in Havok: You will work in small focused teams of highly motivated and talented developers You will be expected to take responsibility and ownership for key areas of the codebase or product portfolio You are expected to be a self-starter, capable of solving ambiguous and challenging technical problems with wide scope You will be expected to lead by example and maintain the standard and craftsmanship embodied in our products You will have the opportunity to work with new technologies on a diverse range of cutting edge hardware platforms You will be part of a professional stable development environment that is not subject to the long periods of crunch time typically associated with game development Key Responsibilities: o Developing high quality, efficient and clean multiplatform C/C++ code o Developing high quality, efficient and clean shader code o Leading and participating in code reviews with other members of the engineering team o Working on all aspects of Software Development including design, implementation, testing, maintenance, documentation and delivery o Working directly with developers to understand their requirements and translate these into well implemented solutions o Mentoring other developers and sharing expertise throughout our team o Drafting tutorials, white papers and speaking at technical meetings / conferences o Working directly with internal and external customers to ensure they are getting the most value from our solutions Qualifications: o 5+ years of relevant software development experience o Exceptional C++ development and debugging skills o Extensive experience developing shaders and working with graphics APIs such as DirectX o Extensive experience with graphics debugging and performance analysis tools o Good working knowledge of modern GPU hardware and typical performance bottlenecks o An ability to work in a team environment on a shared code base o A proven track record of delivering high quality solutions for highly technical challenges o Strong knowledge of 3D math and linear algebra o A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent Desirable skills: There are plenty of other skills that aren?t required, but you?ll find useful in this role.
