As a Client Technical Architect in Lenovo Data Center Group (DCG) you will get engaged in promoting Lenovo DCG product and solutions, you will work with CTOs, IT specialists and Lenovo presales and sales team and with Lenovo partners to help drive opportunities through the sales cycle from understanding customer business and technical requirements, building the solution architecture and driving the opportunity up to a profitable closing.
Position Description For Lenovo Germany we are looking for a Senior Client Technical Architect for the Telco Industry (m/f). This job role includes:
Building and maintaining client relationships up to C-levels and establishing themselves as a trusted advisor
Gathering information to develop an accurate understanding of customer technology infrastructure
Listening and interpreting client’s needs and requirements and developing appropriate solution proposals
Building a future pipeline of projects/business with the assigned client set
Being able to convey Lenovo’s visionary messages and value propositions to clients in a convincing way, provide technical presentations
Providing technical consultancy to clients about Lenovo’s products/solutions/innovations for the data center with focus on the market trends for the telecommunications industry
Providing technical input to client RFPs and taking the lead to eliminate roadblocks with respect to technical feasibility
Having the goal orientation to advance opportunities effectively
Having the ability to build technical solutions working with the wider product specialist and technical community, the sales teams and business partners as appropriate, to support winning the business.
Conducting technical proofs of concept of Lenovo’s solutions including support of the implementation and integration of the infrastructure into the client’s data center if required
Collaborating closely with sales, product management and channel teams to share knowledge and enable sales in their focus area
Proactively supporting the account team with product advice, presentations, proposal support
Building continuously deep skill in software defined datacenter and cloud solutions as they develop in the market Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of customer facing experience as a senior consultant
Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
Successful track record of supporting the closure of business with technical consultancy
Successful track record of creating, presenting and positioning IT infrastructure architectures for the data center to end customers and via reseller channels.
Experience in using consultative sales techniques, able to articulate the technical value proposition to the customer and elaborate the benefit of one solution over the other
Broad understanding of x86 trends & technologies as well as of cloud architectures
Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the sales function and across functions including Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing and Product Development.
Travel time across Germany more than 40%+
Excellent language skills in German and English is a must
