Amazon's EU Sort Centers Team is looking for an experienced, talented, detailed oriented, smart and highly motivated Program Manager based in Germany with extensive travel

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to Amazon’s EU sortation strategy

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to conduct complex analyses and coordinate new initiatives

  • Develop financial and operational models to optimize the EU sortation network

  • Conduct analysis, produce reports, identify opportunities, optimize processes, and implement changes

Successful candidates will be highly analytical, rigorous in their problem solving approach, excellent communicators and effective at managing senior stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the process to deliver annual strategic, operational and financial plans for the DE/CEE Sort center team

  • Analyzes sortation strategies and transportation routes to optimize key performance metrics

  • Develops financial and operational models to optimize the EU sortation network

  • Comes up with creative strategies to improve the customer experience, reduce lead times, track and identify cost savings

  • Collaborates with Transportation, Operations Research and other with global functions

  • Is the DE Sortation team’s point of contact with Finance

  • Works across functions to drive improvements in process workflow, systems configuration and performance metrics

  • Prepares and gives detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management

  • Executes strategic business objectives while working with key internal stakeholders to improve the sortation performance, leveraging the latest internal and external information

  • Serve as a key member of the Sort Centers team

  • PHD, MBA or master in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, or related field

  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience, of which ideally 2 years in Strategy Consulting

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills. Fluent in German and English

  • Strong data analysis skills, ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • The successful candidate will be a person who enjoys and excels at diving into data to analyze root causes, has exceptional analytics and communication skills. Has a strong bias for action and drives tasks to completion

  • Travel required

  • SQL

  • Knowledge of additional European languages
