PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Business Solution Architecture team for Consumer Industries is responsible to define the Reference Solution Architecture for Consumer Industries with current focus on Retail and Fashion. This includes defining and analyzing prioritized end-to-end business processes for the industry, mapping them to existing/preferred solutions, identifying integration and functional gaps, which inhibit the end-to-end process flow. We work in close collaboration with the various development teams and influence development backlog with focus on integration requirements.

Since we cover all processes along the industry value map, we need a broad and at times deep understanding of business processes. The team members are business savvy in their area of expertise and at the same time have a good understanding of the solution capabilities and the overall architecture. A basic understanding of core technologies is required but we are not technical architects.

We engage with customers on a regular basis, both from the business as well as the IT side for validation of business processes, identification and resolution of gaps as part of a co-innovation project, or as an advisor for their future solution architecture.

At present the team consists of 10 people, working from different locations in the US, Germany, Switzerland, and Hungary.

Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.
