Job Description

  • Responsibility for Exhaust Emission Actuators as purchaser in global project teams

  • Calculation of material costs for new business acquisition activities under consideration of market prices and benchmarks

  • Responsibility for material costs target achievement and initiation of Design-to-Cost Measures by involving suppliers early during the product development process

  • Execution of RfQs, quotation analysis and negotiation with strategic suppliers on a global level

  • Preparation of and participation in technical review meetings with suppliers in close interdisciplinary cooperation with R&D, Supplier Quality Management, Logistics, Project Management

  • Planning and moderation of supplier selection decisions under consideration of purchasing strategies, risk management and modern negotiation concepts

  • Derive Business Unit specific procurement strategies for core and/or new technologies

  • Execution of global benchmarks to develop the Business Unit specific supplier portfolio

  • Provide pro-actively input about new market processes and product technologies and drive its implementation

Job Requirements

  • Academic degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or comparable

  • Several years of relevant working experience ideally within international Automotive industry

  • Experience in project management

  • Process-Cost awareness and profound technical thinking

  • Fluent in English and very good German language (written and spoken)

  • Analytical mindset and structured way of working

  • Systematic and practical approach

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Flexibility and engagement

  • Ability to travel for occasional business trips
