Job Description

As a Data Analyst your core responsibilities will be:

  • Identification and proactive driver for analytical use cases

  • Understanding the (unspoken) business requirements in the field of Big Data & Advanced Analytics and translation into concepts

  • Design and implementation of analytical solutions in close collaboration with Business, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and IT

  • Hand-over to operations team

  • Support of the corporate knowledge acquisition in the field of Big Data & Advanced Analytics

  • Consultancy to improve Continental’s Data Lab

  • Shaping Continental’s Big Data & Advanced Analytics strategy

Job Requirements

  • University degree in (business) informatics, mathematics, physics or comparable qualification

  • Practical experience in the above-mentioned areas

  • Good knowledge in advanced analytics methods (e. g. data mining, predictive analytics, machine learning), statistical tools (e. g. KNIME, RStudio, SAS, SPSS), big data environments (e. g. Hadoop, Spark) and object-oriented programming languages (e. g. Java, Python)

  • Practical experience with analytical and visualization tools (e. g. Micro Strategy, Tableau) of advantage

  • Knowledge in Microsoft, Oracle and SAP databases of advantage

  • Business fluent in English (written and spoken) and German desirable

  • Excellent communications skills and capability to present technological concepts coherently to the business as well as employees of the IT units
