USER EXPERIENCE PRODUCT DESIGNER (m/f)
The Digital Music team is looking for a UX designer who will be responsible for the Amazon Music Apps, which enable our customers to stream music (Amazon Music Unlimited & Prime Music) and listen to MP3 downloads.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to take on the detailed executional design of medium-sized product design projects — either a big release on 1 platform or a medium-sized feature that goes across all platforms.
This role will also contribute conceptual designs to brainstorms on new products and new product features - brining fresh and divergent sketches to the team’s work and thinking.
This role is located in Munich, DE.
Be the design leader for medium-sized projects (within a single platform or initiative.)
Lead the full design process for a project, from goal and needs identification to concept sketching to flow and wireframe development to high-fidelity prototypes and mocks, checking in with more senior Design Team members to check impacts to the broader Amazon Music Design System.
Stay current on emerging design trends, music innovations, and broader technologies and identify opportunities to incorporate best current thinking into product designs.
Work from high-level requirements and ask the right questions to gather all relevant information to guide design direction.
Quickly iterate on multiple design explorations to arrive at a simple, but robust solution, accounting for complex requirements.
Design for current experiences while also envisioning and creating new experiences for future features.
Collaborate on and present work to a range of stakeholders – executives, engineers, product managers, business leaders, researchers, other UX and visual designers.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in visual/graphic design, HCI, interaction design, or related field preferred. May be substituted with significant industry experience and accomplishments.
Several years of experience in physical, web, mobile, or emerging platform product design.
Strong online portfolio of digital (web and app, if not also emerging platform) work.
Experience creating Pattern Libraries and working with/pushing Brand Style Guides.
Passion for programmed content and working with Editorial and Personalization teams to design products that help customers seek and discover their favorite new music.
