Senior Campaign Manager - Global Integrated Marketing in Munich, Germany

An exciting opportunity to join the Amazon Global Integrated Marketing team in EU.

This person will be in charge of supporting the development of effective advertising communications in EU. Working across all possible product and service categories this person will have specific responsibility for selected DE as well as multi country projects.

You will be supporting and working on campaigns for devices such as Fire TV or Echo but also on Retail products such as Prime, Prime Now, and Retail event advertising. You will also work alongside Campaign Managers to support other Amazon vertical business categories with their communications requirements.

This role sits at the heart of the creative process, working with internal business stakeholders, research and business information teams as well as internal and external creative teams and agencies. The successful candidate will propose and help develop the strategic and creative briefs, help coordinate the media, and audit day to day management of creative agency or internal creative resource from ideation through to production and implementation. They will also work with measurement and research functions to ensure that we have analysis that relates to ad planning, ad performance and ad tracking.

The successful candidate will have shown that they can work autonomously and be comfortable helping drive creative ad output, with lateral thinking and an eye for strong creative ideas. However they must be comfortable handling data and details at the same time as Amazon is highly data centric and always seeks to drive value whilst understanding the cost efficiency of marketing activities.

Responsibilities and Activities

  • Audit of EU creative agencies and any EU related creative developed internally. Search of new agencies if appropriate

  • Key stakeholder in the drafting of the business case document which is the mandatory keystone of any ad campaign to be proposed, and the related creative brief. These two documents are the yardsticks of campaigns across devices, services and retail

  • Manage creative development (ideation, proposal and production/implementation), under the guidance of EU HQ in Luxembourg

  • Audit the project by project total creation budget and follow-up sign off and accounting

  • Liaise with dedicated campaign media planners/buyers on each project

  • Coordinate campaigns across channels and products to support teams in drafting and proposing innovative advertising and brand campaigns that will help achieve product goals

  • Based on the identified approved approach, this role will partner with cross-functional teams to implement the appropriate channel marketing mix and supporting campaigns, including advertising, social creative, and promotions

  • Audit external & internal agencies and creative partners.

  • Participate in the creation and writing of appropriate campaign briefs, contribute to creative development, media plans and support all aspects of the process including schedule management, research and analysis

  • Work with advertising measurement tools and partner with research team to analyze advertising performance and continually propose improvements

  • Understand business, marketing, and legal constraints and opportunities to contribute to the growth of the product

  • Proactively propose and plan to address new market opportunities and react to unforeseen challenges

  • Contribute to the development and execution of specific tactics and activities with cross-functional teams

  • Analyze the results of launched initiatives and propose improvements through scalable, efficient new processes to help optimize resources at all times.

  • The ideal candidate is a passionate consumer marketing leader with broad understanding of advertising and how to maximize results across channels

  • They must have a track record of success in developing and executing results-oriented campaigns that include traditional advertising channels (TV, print, OOH, digital), with a secondary focus on supporting select onsite and social creative needs

  • This person must have strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to influence others and strong cross-functional leadership

  • This person will have good creative judgement

  • He or she will be known for creativity and innovation but also for rigorous testing, measurement and iteration to improve results continuously

  • MBA or Masters Degree

  • Experience working on international campaigns

  • German should be the candidates first language.
