  • You have a PhD in chemistry, materials science, process engineering or a comparable discipline, on which you earned above-average marks.

  • You have excellent knowledge and skills in the field of electrochemistry and preferably have experience with solid ionic conductors and electrocatalysis.

  • You are well acquainted with standard IT applications and versed in using your excellent English language skills on a daily basis at work.

  • Initial professional experience in an industrial setting and basic knowledge of engineering and technology are beneficial.

  • In your day-to-day work, you enjoy contributing creativity and initiative, view yourself as a team player and are distinguished by strong cooperation and communication skills.

TaskDescriptionWithin our Process Research and Chemical Engineering research unit, you will take on responsibility for research and development work in the field of development of electrochemical energy storage.

  • You will monitor and support the development of electrochemical components and cells from the lab up to production scale.

  • You will characterize and improve components and cells in the lab and at the technical center, while using electrochemical measurement methods and applying your knowledge of chemistry and materials science.

  • Your duties will also include evaluating and interpreting the analytical methods that are applied as well as documenting and presenting the results of your research.

  • Extensive cooperation with internal partners from R&D and marketing and with external development partners will be an essential element of your work.

  • In addition, you will supervise international cooperative research initiatives as well.
