We are looking to add a Solutions Support Engineer Intern, whose primary focus is to build small enhancements as well as fix code issues on the Demandware platform. The ideal candidate will have a development background based in either Java, or JavaScript, and will be able to do hands on improvement of the code.

  • Function as a technical resource to assist level teams troubleshooting and resolving high impact issues on the Demandware platform

  • Work with the Development teams to correct reoccurring issues within the code. As well as provide insight on ways to improve code, and do hands-on fixes

  • Perform regular performance reviews of client solutions to develop recommendations for improving performance and scalability and work closely with clients to drive adoption

  • Work in dedicated cross functional teams to investigate and diagnose low-level issues in the product or platform

  • Participate in scalability initiatives involving performance testing of large scale solutions against the platform to determine opportunities for product improvement

  • Work closely with Product and Platform Engineering teams to identify opportunities for inefficient use of the platform and provide guidance from a Client Support perspective to hardening initiatives

  • Assist in the development of training material supporting current best practices for efficient and scalable solutions on the Demandware platform

  • Experience in programing in either Java or JavaScript (HTML/CSS a plus).

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.

  • Knowledge with cloud computing technologies; SOA, application servers, middleware, enterprise application integrations, databases, security, performance & scalability – ideally in eCommerce or similar applications (ERP, CRM) in a SaaS environment.

  • Understanding of performance testing methodologies.

  • Ability to work self-sufficiently

  • Enrolled in a University
