Dow Chemical Field Marketing Manager - Construction Chemical Business in Hessen, Germany

The Dow Chemical Company has an opportunity for a Marketing Manager for The construction chemical business located in Germany. The Marketing Manager will work in close collaboration with the Strategic Marketing Managers and the sales team to ensure implementation of the grow Business strategy for the selected market segments and geography.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop 1-2 year goals and strategy for market segment

  • Develop, communicate, and implement effective marketing strategies in conjunction with other functions/departments to meet financial objectives

  • Identify growth opportunities and unmet needs in the marketplace; partner with strategic marketing to determine if innovation programs are appropriate

  • Define strong product line strategy, identify and pursue step-out growth opportunities

  • Lead and execute high priority business driven market development including product positioning/pricing/promotion/channels to market and selling tools

  • Build brand with effective internal and external communication

  • Create and execute high-impact marketing communications materials that represent the brand

  • This roles typically has a small regional scope with mature economies, a few countries or potentially a small global business segment


Required Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in MBA - Marketing

  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, 8 is preferred

  • Market and customer orientation

  • Strategic thinking

  • Business acumen and credibility

  • Good breadth of knowledge of the economic, technical, and organizational aspects of business. Acts on market place dynamics.

  • Strong analytical skills. Is capable of quantifying, taking and managing risks.

  • Strong marketing competency with segmentation, stage gate processes, voice of customer and blueprinting etc.

  • English language required - German is a strong asset

  • Travel 40%
