Commercial Discipline @Dow EMEAI provides Businesses in Dow with support, expertise, skills development and innovative approaches in all Innovation and Growth Management areas, within The Europe Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) Region. The German Management department focuses particularly on growth and new business development in Germany.
The current internship position is aligned to the German Management/ Regional Growth.
During the6 monthsof the internship, Candidates may participate and lead their own projects in the areas of business development, by
Conducting strategic market analysis to assess Germany regarding various markets and businesses
Monitor and follow-up on growth and cross-selling projects with respective Dow businesses
Performing market share studies of particular businesses in Germany
Interns will also be offered the possibility, under the guidance of Regional Growth Leader, to participate and take ownership of relevant parts of the project for various Dow Businesses.
Duration of the internship: 6 months. Starting date as soon as possible (exact date to be determined)
During the internship, participants will be offered the possibility to:
Explore and gain understanding of a variety of Dow businesses, industries, markets, customers, and of the sales and marketing functions at Dow.
Demonstrate and develop their skills in secondary and primary Market Research, Project Management, Communication, Networking, organization of own activities, time/priorities management, documentation, reporting and presentation.
Get Coaching and Mentoring from experienced colleagues
Get exposure to experienced sales and marketing professionals
Get experience of work in a global environment
You can start in Q1 for a period of 6 months (exact timing to be discussed). You will be remunerated.
Required Qualifications and Abilities:
Currently working towards a Master’s Degree or equivalent, in a technical or Marketing & Sales field. A double (technical and commercial) education may be an advantage. The offer is not limited to graduation year students, more junior candidates may be considered too, based on their talents and competencies.
Professional level of computer literacy is required. Proficiency in English is an essential prerequisite; fluency in German is mandatory, some knowledge of another EMEAI language might be an advantage. Good communication skills (face to face and virtual, verbal and written) are needed, and will be further developed during the internship; the ability to operate in a diverse environment, and as part of virtual/remote teams, is essential.
Candidates are expected to be self-motivated, self-directed while staying focused on the objective, fast learners, independent contributors with a strong taste and ability to cooperate and share, creative problem solvers with a clear orientation towards results and actual implementation/realization.
