Job Title Engineer (m/f) Test Method Development (Wear) Tires

Job Description

You will be responsible for test method developments in a field of ongoing research including investigations and understanding of several parameters on tire wear.

Your tasks will be:

  • Wear and durability test method development for Passengercar-, Van-, Light Truck- and Trucktires - this includes vehicle as well as drum test methods

  • Leading test method development projects

  • Proactive review and improvement of existing test methods concerning market relevance and customer requirements

  • Analysis and evaluation of interactions between test parameters, tire constructions, application conditions and test results (inclusive statistical analysis)

  • Determination of relevant service parameters for different applications

  • Transfer service parameters from field to indoor and outdoor test conditions

  • Working in an interdisciplinary and intercultural environment

Job Requirements

  • Academic Degree in chemistry, physics or mathematics, ideally with a PhD

  • Prior knowledge of tire testing and/ or tire construction preferred

  • Analytical abilities to solve complex tasks scientifically without losing sight of the practical results

  • Quick problem solving capabilities

  • Experience in project management; self-motivation, performance and target oriented

  • Open and transparent communication skills; ability to present the results in a clear and convincing way

  • Very good English language skills
