  • You have a degree in mechanical engineering and you ideally have acquired experience in the field of emission control, combustion engines or catalyst development.

  • You are fluent in English and an additional European language (German, French or Italian).

  • You have a sound understanding how to inspire others and you are able to build up a strong relationship with your customer and internal functions.

  • You enjoy working as part of a team and you impress others with your confidence and efficiency.

TaskDescriptionThe unit Application Engineering is the technical interface between BASF Automotive Catalyst and the Car Manufacturer. It is therefore the strategic technical link between our customers and Marketing, R&D and the Production.

  • You will become responsible for the technical sales of our catalyst technologies and innovations.

  • You will take the project lead for customer projects to support our customized technology developments.

  • You will initiate, plan and perform experiments and present the results to the car manufacturers at sites across Europe.

  • You will select catalyst technology out of our product portfolio for customer submission in alignment with customer needs.

  • You will obtain customer and market requirements and communicate these appropriately into our organization in order to ensure an effective development of new products according to market requirements.
