This role will drive the delivery of compelling 3rd party consumer apps and experiences across Azure and Windows devices. This involves: Leading the technical relationship between content partners (Publishers), implementation partners (Developers) and Microsoft; Identifying and tapping the available resources (engineering, technical support, business development, publishing teams) to provide world class technical engagements and support to enable Publishers to build the most engaging consumer experiences.
This role will lead the technical relationship at the CTO level with top consumer app partners, successfully evangelizing our platform and development story while also serving as advocate for the partner, driving input into Microsoft Product Groups. Ours is a maker-culture with an entrepreneurial spirit. At times this role will require rolling up your sleeves to write code alongside partners (e.g. Hackfests, Hackathons) and in select cases, contribution to partner’s code, shared source, and/or open source at the partner’s discretion. This role will be on the forefront of advanced and future, unannounced Microsoft technologies.

•Work with Business teams to showcase Microsoft’s unique value propositions from a technical perspective
•Understand our customer's needs and communicate those unmet and often unstated needs within the respective partner teams
•Solve their development problems directly or by connecting them with the right people throughout the Developer Experience and Platform teams
•Help Partners take advantage of the power of Microsoft platforms through your knowledge of our platform features, processes and approaches
•Travel to and onsite work with 3rd parties is core part of the job (25%).

•Solve key partner technical challenges and platform issues, escalate appropriately
•Co-ordinate all aspects of the technical relationship with partners and orchestrate the different resources available within Microsoft to win the developers’ mind
•Manage the diversity of tasks as well as the relationship with multiple partner and developer accounts
•Align the needs of Microsoft and our partners
•Bring the most impactful consumer applications and content to Microsoft platforms
Technical Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Candidates should have a degree in computer science, with a minimum of five years of production development.
Additional qualifications include:
•5 years of experience in one or more of the following consumer verticals: social, media, lifestyle, productivity & Mobile operators
•Application Architecture and Development (C++, C#/XAML) experience on Windows 10 and at least one competitive platform.
•Demonstrated competencies in Microsoft platform & development technologies including Azure and UWP
•3 years of experience with Web Application frameworks and libraries including Node.JS, Cordova, and/or others.
•Demonstrated experience supporting external customers, partners and developers.

•Demonstrated ability to play a leadership role in cross group situations across Microsoft and working with 3rd party partners
•Ability to distill and communicate complex business and technical strategic priorities into actionable engineering plans
•Excellent communication skills, including some public speaking: credible & persuasive in front of multiple highly technical decision makers
•Strong customer orientation and ability to deliver outstanding customer service
•Passionate about driving for business success
