Job location(s): Hamburg (Germany)

The purpose of this position is to execute and coordinate the short term production schedule and ensure an optimal delivery performance while meeting customer requirement and expectations. Furthermore, you communicate changes to related departments and execute and coordinate the whole logistics and financial administration, carrier requirements and customer documentation for all loading locations executed from the Hamburg office.

Major Tasks

  • Ensure weekly production schedule and material requirements plan that allows the customer call-off program to be validated

  • Monitor demand expectations, align with master planning and inbound the short term pipeline plan

  • Active monitor and follow-up of daily execution of the production schedule, actual deliveries and inbound streams

  • Daily update, control and validation of stocks and produced volumes

  • Allocate volumes to other plants in case of capacity constraints in cooperation with Master Planning & Logistics

  • Validate and confirm on time, with Logistics & Master Planning, the call-off program towards our customers

  • Receive and evaluate orders from customer service and process them into the business systems (planning tools) to ensure carriers are allocated according to the requirements

  • Ensure that final confirmed customer orders are processed and customers receive their delivery in time

  • Handle customer logistics complaints and enter carrier complaints

  • Monitor financial Freight balances and take corrective actions to ensure proper cost control

  • Course correction where needed and optimization where possible while taking into account volume-, cost- and quality constraints

  • Actively initiate, participate and support project management and continuous improvement initiatives related to Supply Chain, logistics and scheduling execution


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a professional commercial education within an industrial environment or another equivalent education

  • 3-5 years working experience within the supply chain of an industrial environment

  • Commercial and physical distribution affinity and operational planning experience

  • High level of analytical thinking, problem solving and a result driven personality

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Being a Team Player with a broad perspective

  • Good command in German and English (verbal / written)
