Duties

Serves as a Facility Aid in a Fitness Facility. Works under the direction of the Facility Manager. 1. Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. 2. Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material. 3. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.

Qualifications

Possesses related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to perform the duties of position as indicated above.

Applicants who are able to lift 50 lbs (fitness center weight machines, re-stack free weights, weight bars, and dumbbell sets), are able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR driver's license and who have one (1) year experience that required to maintain accountability of funds, property, and/or inventory will be considered amongst the highly preferred criteria.

Conditions of Employment:

  1. A one-year probationary period may be required.
  2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements.
  3. A completed and signed copy DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  4. Appointment is subject to completion of a favorable background checks/investigation to determine suitability for this position.

  5. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  6. Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.

  7. Must be able to communicate in English (orally and in writing).
