As a key contributor, this position is primarily responsible for infrastructure deployment, system integration, data conversion, and configuration management across Network Engineering. You will work collaboratively with team members to build and deploy innovative solutions by translating requirements into tested system specifications. In collaboration with Senior Deployment Management, this position ensures that all service architecture utilizes best practice and is aligned with overall systems for streamlined development. By applying configuration updates, this role will solve complex customer business problems and focus on customer satisfaction through the execution of unit testing, the validation of fault and performance systems and providing customer support during the user acceptance testing phase. In addition, this position ensures that the scope of work defined within the Statement of Work (SOW) is accurate, that the timeline is adhered to, the budget is not extended, and that all project phases are properly documented for training and customer support. In conjunction with SOW responsibilities, this role will assist in creating ROI business case support. Working closely with Infrastructure Design Engineering, you will contribute to the development of deployment procedure, integration best practice, and test lab environment configuration in order to increase team efficiency. To further improve the customer experience, this role will provide technical expertise and ensure that service feasibility analysis receives high level support. In cooperation with the Network Engineering team, this position will also assist Terrestrial Capacity Planning with adding more infrastructure capacity when needed, and provide level 3 infrastructure support.

Critical Responsibilities

•Provide guidance on all existing and proposed architecture to ensure streamlined integration, secure initial launch performance and that proper monitoring/analytic tools are in place.

•Proactive identification of system dependencies and project scope changes.

•Usage of analytical skills to resolve issues related to source data and/or systems.

•Ensure that best practice procedure is incorporated from a multiple department perspective, within your defined role responsibility.

•Understanding of structured deployment methodology and end-to-end testing.

•Implement and validate fault and performance systems before implementation is complete.

•Document implementation automation capabilities.

•Collaborate with the Design team Engineers and when applicable, the Network Architect.

•Work closely with Finance, Engineering, and other applicable departments to ensure the profitability of all projects.

•Support the lab/design review environment.

Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support for service feasibility.

•Develop current operating standards and process, to increase team effectiveness and process alignment.

•Provide leadership and coaching of junior team members.

•Contribute to technical training materials.

Important Responsibilities

•Represent the department at all times, as a primary technical SME.

•Participate in meetings and activities to support Network Engineering.

•Document and comply with recordkeeping procedure.

Required Knowledge and Skills

•Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline. At least five years of network experience, with seven years preferred (or an equivalent amount of education and work experience).

•PMI/PMP certification, a plus.

•Must have subject matter expertise in at one of the following design disciplines: RF, IP, Optical or Media.

•Comprehensive knowledge in networking, data communications, and systems engineering (IP, Video, RF).

•Must have excellent organizational and database skills, with the ability to coordinate between multiple systems.

•Ability to analyze situations and utilize problem solving abilities under pressure.

•Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.

•Ability to speak and write German.

•Ability to speak and write English.

•Strong ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers is required.
