The Sr. Content Acquisition Analyst is responsible for conducting content acquisition activity for a variety of content categories in Germany and on a per project base across WEU. This includes responsibility for identifying potential sources based on defined priorities and requirements, maintenance of the opportunity pipeline and ownership of the sourcing process including interaction with other departments for topics such as contractual details and quality evaluation. The position is located in Schwalbach.


  • Actively manage own opportunity pipeline by pursuing suppliers of geospatial data, arranging meetings, presentations and following up with suppliers

  • Conducts preliminary source evaluation

  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms to acquire datasets

  • Execute all required contracts and purchase orders and obtains dataset

  • Conducts market research to identify possible data suppliers

  • Execute administration related to supplier management

  • Coordinate with other teams to conduct initial supplier data evaluation to ingest data in order to build or enhance HERE's offerings

  • Take responsibility for specific cross country projects and act as a subject matter expert towards specific stakeholders in the company

  • Create and regularly update supplier inventory and profile including key information related to the supplier relationship

  • Create and maintain communication master file per content category and industry that consolidates best practice for key arguments, objections and answers

  • As required takes a mentoring role for other, less experienced team members

  • 5+ years relevant experience in sales, business development, procurement or similar

  • Bachelor degree (preferred technical or business degree)

  • Knowledge and/or understanding of Maps and Location-Based services

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Germany

  • Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Convincing and persuasive door opener mentality

  • Open and outgoing personality, strong negotiation skills
