About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
This position is located in Dulmen, Germany and is contingent upon contract award.
Maintains grounds of industrial, commercial, government or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, and athletic fields, and repairs structures and equipment. The objective of this position is to keep the site in a clean, safe condition.
Cut grass, using walking-type or riding mowers, trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools, prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools, sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
Planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs, water lawn and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler system.
Picks up and burns or carts away leaves, paper or other litter.
Removes snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots, using shovel and snow blower, spreads salt on walkways and other areas.
Repairs and paints fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings.
Assists in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment.
Scrubs and disinfect toilets, urinals, drinking fountains, toilet doors, and other bathroom fixtures daily.
Clean comfort stations, offices workshop areas, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, removing trash, mopping and polishing.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Works in a chemical plant in proximity to toxic chemical munitions. The individual and supervisor assure that the degree of risk is reduced to the lowest level. Work involves repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time. Work involves hazardous noise areas. May be required to perform work using and/or wearing protective equipment. Must be able to acknowledge and respond to Emergency lights and sirens and be capable of wearing a protective mask.

One year directly related experience. Ability to read and follow basic instructions. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
