HAVI's European Finance team is currently recruiting for a Senior Accounting Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in GL accounting, reporting, audits, and analysis in Europe and will help identify and lead process and system improvements across the Finance organization. The position will also assist with the budgeting activities for Shared Services and has opportunity to deliver analysis to regional and global leaders. The role reports to the Manager, Accounting and Tax.

Success will be determined through:

  • Supporting Global and Local ERP system and other Financial tools and Processes

  • Participate in enhancements and upgrades of ERP and other systems including design input and user testing

  • Act as super-user of financial tools and help drive implementation and utilization

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, and lead improvement projects as assigned

  • Participating in monthly general ledger. Closing process for European entities including preparing and/or approving journal entries, reconciling assigned accounts, and reviewing and analyzing assigned Balance Sheet sections

  • Assisting in consolidated corporate reporting and analysis

  • Preparing monthly departmental expense reports for Shared Service functions (IT, Finance, Comms, Admin, HR) with analysis and review with Manager (Finance Director on a quarterly basis)

  • Assisting in the annual planning and budgeting processes for Shared Services

  • Supporting Year-End reporting requirements e.g. Company Packages, Local Statutory

  • Ensuring HGS maintains a strong internal control environment detecting and reporting any weakness as well as providing recommendations for improvements

Required work experience:

  • 3-4 years Financial Analysis and/or Budgeting and Planning experience

  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting or project accounting experience including reconciliations and Audit-type support

  • Experience working on global teams and successfully collaborating with others

  • Experience preparing financial reports and presenting analysis to managers and/or business partners

  • Foreign currency revaluations/restatements (preferred)

  • US and UK GAPP knowledge (preferred)

Required functional competencies and qualifications:

  • BWL or HNC Business and Finance or equivalent finance related qualification

  • Financial accounting knowledge

  • Strong ERP user with experience in system improvement projects

  • Able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the data

  • Very good English skills

  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot table, What-if analysis, and Macro knowledge preferred)

  • Systems: JDEdwards ERP, Hyperion Reporting, Hyperion Planning, Oracle Business Objects (preferred)

  • General ledger/accounting report writing including consolidations (preferred)
