Principal Engineer (m/f) CVD Equipment Engineering
GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab1 is seeking an CVD equipment engineer in Dresden Germany. The individual selected for this position will work together with other GLOBALFOUNDRIES maintenance technicians, equipment/manufacturing and process engineers at Fab1. Employee will be responsible for CVD and ALD tools used in a leading edge semiconductor manufacturing environment. Projects will include development and optimization of CVD and ALD equipment for 12nm / 22nm FDX and 28nm PolySiON & HKMG technologies, linking with other process and equipment/manufacturing engineers. In addition a high volume production environment needs to be maintained (quality vs. volume vs. cost).
Own, maintain and improve the following indices: Quality, Uptime and Cost
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements and programs
Become the technical Expert for the respective machine specialization
Continuously improve the equipment performance through resolution of chronic and sporadic issues.
Review and implement efficiency improvements for Preventive Maintenance program on equipment.
Coordinate with maintenance technicians, process and manufacturing engineers to ensure work is carried out efficiently to meet module objectives.
Understand FMEA and able to generate FMEA analysis for new tool. Able to utilize it to identify tool weaknesses and derive the top 3 to 5 risk factors
Coach and Mentor maintenance shift personnel to ensure that skill level and knowledge are up to date, and continuously give feedback on their work performance
Uphold 5S initiatives and efficiency improvements in Fab, SubFab and Office area
Document Corrective Action and Best Known Methods, and Fan it out to all for maximum ROI and learning
Coordinate new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hookup, vendor startup, to acceptance of equipment for production
Possesses profound knowledge of PE- and SA-CVD-processes
Setup and maintain FDC, PM specification, and other quality systems for the assigned tools.
Support yield and Continuous Improvement activities related to the CVD Equipment.
Drive cost saving initiatives through second sources, direct sources, parts life-time improvement, and PM optimizations
BS degree in any of the following engineering degrees: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Microelectronics
3 years working experience in semiconductor industry
Fluent in English Language – written & verbal.
