Join our fast growing, highly motivated Map Data Delivery team as an experienced Software Engineer passionate for Testing in Berlin, Germany. You will be responsible for development of a test automation framework to ensure the excellence and reliability of our map production as well as developing thorough and quality-focused tests for our global map data.

The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Extending test framework to new technologies and features
  • Developing tests to be run on global map data with sharp focus on quality
  • Supporting development of tests based on testing framework
  • Supporting quality assurance teams in the use and customization of tests
  • Proactively contacting stakeholders to maximize product quality

We would like to welcome a colleague with:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent
  • 5+ years of directly related experience in programming and software testing in a demanding environment
  • A strong understanding of Python
  • An experience in test automation and building test frameworks
  • An experience in overall software engineering process like requirements gathering/analysis, building test case, test execution and reporting
  • An experience in working with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Continuum, Bamboo
  • An experience with distributed version control tools like git/gerrit
  • A team player with good communication skills, a sincere motivation to learn and contribute to improve team practices
  • Flexible, proactive and innovative attitude
  • Fluent in English, both in spoken and written form

The following would add extra value to your contribution in our team:

  • Be familiar with location-based applications and paradigms
  • An experience in distributed computing
  • Experience in working as part of agile team across multiple sites
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies
