PROGRAM DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC CLIENTS
Manages delivery programs and assists the Delivery executive who is responsible for the execution and delivery of information technology solutions projects for Sabre Airline Solutions. These individuals are responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements, and for making sure that the customer requirements are satisfied through providing specific deliverables. Incumbents are instrumental in the overall planning, selling, and execution of services. The Program Director assists the Delivery Executive in the management of project structure, staffing plans, and participates in the staffing process, which may include assisting in the selection of personnel from internal and/or third party vendors and customers. Helps the Delivery Executive manage the project team, sets goals, objectives, priorities, assigns/reviews work and helps resolves conflict. Manages budget and, as directed, helps manage activities of a department, section, work group and/or project. Helps manage the efforts of departmental or cross-functional teams to support company objectives. Coordinates project benefits and capabilities that the organization can utilize to sustain, enhance and deliver portfolio objectives. Manages ongoing work through governance structures, creating high level plans that provide guidance to projects where detailed plans are established. Drives alignment and adherence to standards and direction set by the organization and removes barriers that prevent efficient execution of projects. Integrates into a cohesive team of other Program Directors and Regional PMO staff and supports the sales engagement & customer care operations within the region.
The successful candidate must have:
Minimum 5 years related experience; PMP Certification and/or 3 years’ experience in IT project management or customer engagement.
Knowledge of Airline Solution’s implementation methodology and the client engagement model
Program reporting experience for multiple simultaneous projects across multiple clients and geographies
Employee management and career development experience
Experience interfacing with and building relationships with manager and director-level customer executives required
Bachelor degree a plus
- Able and willing to travel internationally, up to 80%, or relocate to customer location and travel 25% – 50%
