Partner Sales Manager

Job Summary: As Partner Sales Manager your main objective is to implement, maintain and grow Ericsson business thru channel partners within Cloud and selected OSS/BSS solution across the assigned territory. The role includes building and strengthening a strategic dialogue with the partners and customers within the whole region and as a Partner Sales Manager you will select, evaluate, manage, and terminate relationships with Partners. Ericsson’s offerings cover a wide range of solution areas, including Software Defined Infrastructure (HDS 8000, Apcera, Security etc), Enterprise Cloud Billing, and other selected OSS/BSS products. Partner Sales Manager

*Main areas of responsibility: *

  • Develop business through partnerships
  • Opportunity forecasting and reporting
  • Responsible for executing on Ericsson’s channel partner strategy
  • Promote and sell Ericsson’s solutions to our partners
  • Manage the full life-cycle of partners, i.e. select, evaluate, contract, maintain, govern and terminate relationships
  • Pre-assess possible local partners within our focus areas
  • Develop sales and account plans for partners in sync with Customer Units and other Domain functions.
  • Business development activities with current and potential partners.
  • Establish and maintain sound relationships with the partners
  • Together with Ericsson Business Units, Sourcing and Commercial Management organisations contract relevant sales partners, using Partner agreements, Teaming agreements and NDAs
  • Identification of business opportunities with and through partners
  • Support sales and business development projects in partnering matters.
  • Arrange training for partners
  • Establish Governance structure for strategic regional and local partners
  • Go-To-Market planning with partners
  • Manage and synchronize with Ericsson Partner Management organisations in other regions and in the Business Units

Formal qualification:

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering/ICT (or similar/equivalent). Higher university such as an MBA considered a merit.

Your background:

  • At least 5 years business experience (partnering, sales and/or, business development) within the IT industry. Background from partnering functions at leading IT such as HP, DELL, EMC, Netapp etc is a plus.
  • Well established personal network with C-level and sub C-level at resellers and system integrators within the territory is necessary.
  • Creative in terms of ability to see and make things in a new or different way. Ability to solve problem, collaboratively with the partner, customer and internally.
  • Good understanding of contractual Terms & Conditions
  • Good understanding of solution/consultative selling
  • Excellent social, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently to reach targets, result oriented
  • Capability to adapt to different cultural aspects in the territory.
  • Willing and available to travel frequently in the territory.
