The Eurobond/Market Data Analyst conducts research for Eurobond & Domestic Bond securities using issuer filings, company news, press releases, debt security research reports, news publications, and research studies and through engagement with issuers and institutions.
Collect, translate and summarize financial, industry and corporate governance information related to Eurobond & domestic bondholder meetings, translates proxy materials into English and applies internal codes based on ISS' definitions and guidelines.
The Eurobond/Market Data Analyst will also be responsible for performing similar tasks for publicly traded companies in various European markets; mainly Luxembourg , Germanic speaking countries & countries in the Nordic region.
Review different Issuer publications, country publications, financial web-sites to obtain proxy information on Eurobonds & domestic bonds as well as publicly traded companies in various European markets;
Update database with proxy information and update database with company, security and meeting related information;
Develop market expertise in debt securities issues, corporate governance and investment, gathered through fundamental research and government/regulatory/listing authorities;
Contact companies to obtain proxy materials and other meeting related information.
Code each resolution on a company’s meeting agenda into a standardized format as requested;
Gather data based on information in the company’s documents
Participate and conduct research to help policy formulation and update efforts
Update market guidelines and intelligence reports
Collaborate with other GMS Data analysts on working committees and/or projects
Ensure adequate audit trails for data that is received or sent from production systems
Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a financial environment
Analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues
Knowledge and experience with MS Office
Ability to work within a team-oriented environment
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Understanding of corporate governance issues, corporate transactions and capital markets
Fluent in English and German and/or French with a good working knowledge of at least one of the other languages. Fluency in one the following languages will be an advantage; Danish, Swedish or Norwegian.
