Lead the Communications/PR function in AGS (Austria, Germany & Switzerland) with a clear strategic vision based on a deep knowledge of the key consumer targets and an effective network. Leverage the global power of media, entertainment and pop culture to tell the Converse story and inspire consumers. Fully integrate with Brand Marketing (Converse AGS and its agencies), Merchandising and Sales while ensuring seamless communication with the EMEA and Global teams.
So first off, you will be developing and executing public relations/communication strategies that support the overall brand, product concepts and seasonal objectives.
You will also be required to identify and execute creative news making opportunities and inspire media to cover Converse products, events and to drive our business accordingly.
You will design new ways of interacting with creative stakeholders including social media and bloggers to correspond with the Converse brand.
Cultivate events and brand activities including photo shoots, media partnerships, press previews, bespoke product launches and music moments.
You will manage agencies and international vendors while developing and cultivating an inspirational network of key media partners and local influencers.
Lucky for you, you will also actively participate in the process of shaping the seasonal AGS Marketing plans from a functional perspective and create local country concept maps and seasonal budget planning.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in directly relevant working environments
A creative background and knowledge in the area of digital communications is always a
Plus You must understand the competitive market and know how to deal with the expectations of demanding stakeholders, both internally and externally
You should be an expert in the process of project and budget management
You are experienced in agency management (especially Communications/PR agency leadership)
You are culturally connected with a thorough understanding of fashion / sneaker lifestyle and the arts
You will need to have strong presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent grasp of both English and German languages (written and spoken)
A Bachelor’s degree or higher (can be compensated by relevant work experience)
Passion for the Converse brand and creative culture
A sense of humor, a great work ethic and a strong idea of what is cool
