Role Statement

The HR Manager role is to lead the local HR team and to develop and implement human resources and administration policies, procedures and systems with the TE corporate objectives and supporting TE business needs within Corporate guidelines and local regulations.

This role is located in Bensheim/Germany, with expectations of collaboration across functions and regions to help ensure alignment in professional HR services to our customers.

Key tasks of the job:

  • Be responsible for ongoing operation team build-up, development, performance management and retention

  • Lead the HR operation team in operation process standardization and optimization

  • Be responsible for the quality delivery and continuous improvement of all the ongoing HR operation activitie

  • Conduct cross function communications upon business request

  • Ensure corporate governance, compliance and investigate complaints

  • Develop, enhance, implement and monitor HR policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance with corporate HR strategy and local Law/regulations

  • Allocate and balance work across subordinates; review and provide timely performance feedback to subordinates; mentor, develop and motivate subordinates; and resolve people/functional issues in the department in order to achieve targeted department performance

  • Lead and facilitate company level projects in relation to HR areas in order to make sure project targets achieved in TE

  • Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; drive various corporate and division business initiatives

Qualifications & specialist training required:

  • University degree of relevant studies

  • Several years of proven HR generalist experience, preferably in a large multi-national business environment

  • Offers a broad range of expertise within HR spanning labor relations, staffing, compensation & benefits, coaching employees, etc.

  • Strong working knowledge and experience of labor law and practices

  • Clarity of thought and action – strong ability to simplify – must be able to take decisions and solve problems. Must effectively integrate numerous inputs and information to provide a clear understanding of required change

  • Be a self-starter with an outstanding “roll-up-sleeves”-attitude, who is used to driving and executing processes, projects and tasks externally and internally

  • Combination of Operational and Strategic Mindset - extremely strong in prioritizing and solving issues

  • Possess superior communication skills (oral and written) with ability to present confidently in front of senior executives

  • A strong team player who works effectively across the HR community and the business

  • Ability to assess and enhance effective collaborations with the work council in Germany in order to facilitate required change

  • Making decisions and solving problems

  • Proven accomplishments in leading HR through a significant cultural change effort and demonstrating value to the business

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, which command the respect of the peer group, the broad employee groups and executives throughout the corporation. Must be able to market ideas to a diverse leadership team
