Caterpillar Aftermarket Solutions Rep in Bayern, Germany

Caterpillar, a leading, global manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, with a history spanning 90 years, is looking to hire a highly motivated Aftermarket Account Manager to develop the aftermarket business in partnership with our dealers forGermany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria.

This position is responsible to drive revenue and growth for the aftermarket solutions business (to incl. parts, service, worktools, remanufacturing) in line with industry strategy in the assigned territory. This will be achieved in close collaboration with the respective dealer(s) where the incumbent will provide leadership to optimize dealer’ sales force and sales processes effectiveness.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver the annual business plan for the assigned dealer territories.

  • Establish and develop aftermarket solutions for customers.

  • Develop aftermarket solutions growth opportunities and execute targeted marketing campaigns

  • Drive regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensure implementation of corrective actions where needed.

  • Track opportunity, participation and close rates and report VOC/VOD in the CRM system. In partnership with the assigned dealers develop local action plans, leveraging CRM and Customer Insights to increase market share

  • Partner with dealers’ sales organization to influence sales force effectiveness

  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improving aftermarket solutions sales management, marketing and operational capabilities at assigned dealers.

  • Keep up to date with industry trends, changing technology and market regulations in countries covered.

  • Manage a marketing budget

Interact with Caterpillar global or regional account management to achieve growth of aftermarket solutions goals with specific customers (as applicable).

You will be part of an international team so the ability to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds is a must.

The position is covering Germany, and the incumbent will be based either in Switzerland (headquarters in Geneva) or in Germany (District Office in Munich). If the incumbent is to be based in Switzerland, there will be weekly commuting to our District Office.

Profile requirements:

  • 5-10 years relevant working experience

  • Knowledge and previous experience within the German market in the industrial or automotive sectors

  • Previous experience in direct or indirect sales preferably within a B2B environment

  • Sales management processes and marketing experience

  • Leadership skills and ability to influence others without formal authority

  • Process improvement & project management experience

  • Proficient analytic tools user

  • Excellent commercial skills and business acumen

  • Previous dealer distribution experience is a plus

  • Team player self-started

  • Educated to degree level you will be fluent in both English and German

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
