Booz Allen Hamilton Media Operations/Communications Specialist in Baden Wurtemberg, Germany

Key Role:

Join an agile team of communication planners, analysts, and software developers in a fast-paced environment, supporting the design and implementation of a communication strategy and the development of a media monitoring and data analytics capability to develop Web and social media content, support implementation, and sustain the day-to-day online communication activities of the USEUCOM Communication and Engagement Directorate (ECCE), formerly known as Public Affairs Office. Work seamlessly across the teams within the ECCE and all USEUCOM directorates, interact with senior personnel, Joint Command Component PAOs, and other stakeholders in the Area of Responsibility (AOR), as needed, and integrate with military personnel, civilian government employees, and a skilled team of Booz Allen media and data analysts. Bring effective Web writing expertise and keen comprehension on how to leverage social media tools and tactics to amplify and synchronize messaging to achieve the goals and objectives of the ERI Communication Strategy and further the mission of the USEUCOM. Develop and manage social media planning and execution, working with data analysts to provide continuous measurement of all communications activities and data-supported reporting recommendations for improvements. Provide subject matter expertise to the ECCE Web development team on IA and UX best practices, provide support as a trusted advisor to the ECCE director and staff in all areas related to online and social media presence and best practices in partnership with analysts, and understand how to use Web analytics beyond hits and likes to provide data-driven insights into effectiveness and impact of the communications program as a whole.

Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience in public affairs or communications writing for Web and social media platforms

-4 years of experience with using a spectrum of social media tools and tactics

-3 years of experience with consulting

-Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership in written and oral forms

-Ability to obtain DOCPER approval

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working at a major or combatant command

-Experience with communication planning and implementation, branding and identity, stakeholder relationship management, outreach and engagement, and messaging

-Experience with the use of branding and developing an office identity

-Knowledge of past and current geopolitical issues in the USEUCOM area of responsibility

-Knowledge of a foreign language preferred

-Ability to multi-task competing priorities, deliver under pressure, and pay strict attention to detail

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and effective relationship building skills

-Possession of excellent leadership, analysis, and data gathering skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA degree in International Affairs, Communications, Public Affairs, or related field preferred
