Terex Corporation Regional Training and Development Leader (m/f) for Germany, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland in Bad Schönborn, Germany

Position Description

This position plays a key role in executing the Terex Talent Development strategy to build manager and team member capability through the implementation of global development programs in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Northern Ireland. This includes our three management “Success” programs (Supervising for Success, Managing for Success and Leading for Success) as well as other global skill building programs (e.g., Communication Skills, Service Excellence, Problem Solving). This position will partner with local HR across segments to identify the target audience for each of these programs and coordinate and deliver the training, in partnership with local leaders and subject matter experts. In addition, this position will plan and implement reinforcement activities for supervisors/ managers (in Germany, the UK and NI) ho have completed the Supervising for Success or Managing for Success curriculum to facilitate the transfer of learnings back on the job. The position will also support the delivery of new global training programs that are identified as a result of key organizational initiatives (e.g., Commercial Excellence, Strategic Sourcing) and assist with the development of new content as needed (Brainsharks, job aids, etc.).


Key Tasks

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning, organizing, and delivering management development (Terex “Success” programs) and other company-wide classroom programs, including Corporate headquarters when requiredat our sites in Germany, the UK, and NI

  • Ensuring that new supervisors and managers attend at least the first two modules of Supervising for Success or Managing for Success within the first 6 months in the role (assuming adequate group sizes)

  • Tracking “target audience” for company-wide programs, entering completion information in Terex University, and providing up to date metrics for monthly global HR reporting

  • Collecting and summarizing program evaluation data for each program

  • Promoting company-wide training programs at US sites (e.g., partnering with segment resources to provide content for newsletters, local communications etc.)

  • Partnering with local HR and segment talent & engagement support to identify, design and deliver “reinforcement activities” for participants who have completed Managing for Success and Supervising for Success (using materials from the “Success” Reinforcement toolkit to create a custom approach)

  • Creating online training (Brainsharks) and other written materials to support new and existing training programs

  • Co-leading train-the-trainer programs where necessary for existing Terex-wide training programs

  • Participating in train-the-trainer sessions to become certified in new Terex-wide training programs where required

  • Assist in the development of additional training programs, as needs are identified

  • Reports to: Director, Talent Development and Engagement

Profil :

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Fluent in German and English (both verbal and written)

  • University degree in a relevant field required (e.g. Business Administration, Psychology)

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Training and Development in an industry field

  • Experience in the design and delivery of traditional classroom-based programs; experience with elearning a plus

  • Tech savvy; comfortable using talent systems (e.g., LMS) to schedule and track training

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills

  • Strong customer orientation and ability to collaborate with a wide range of team members across segments, functions, and levels

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Detail orientation


  • Must be willing and able to travel to sites within Germany/UK/NI to deliver training (approximately 50-60% travel)
