Typically designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electrical/electronic assemblies for electronic equipment, including PC boards, cables, harnesses, other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
Determines design approaches and parameters.
Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and performance.
Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
Reviews vendor capability to support product development.
Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
