Philips Sales Representative for Research Software Platform “IntelliSpace Discovery” (m/f) in Aachen, Germany
As Sales Representative, you will promote the whole process of world-wide selling the Research Solutions. This involves contacting potential customers, identifying their needs, persuading them that our product and services can best satisfy those needs; closing the sale by agreeing the terms and conditions; providing an after-sales service.
Arranging appointments with hospital doctors and physics and engineering teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' calling;
Making presentations and product demonstrations to hospital doctors and physics and engineering departments. Presentations and demonstrations may take place in medical settings during the day or at a conference venue;
Organizing conference visits and ensuring appropriate participation by potential customers;
Keeping detailed records of all contacts;
Reaching annual sales targets;
Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This will involve working with the area sales teams. Generally, medical sales executives have their own regional area of responsibility and plan how and when to target health professions;
Keeping up to date with the latest product solution supplied by Philips, and interpreting, presenting and discussing this with health professionals during presentations;
Monitoring competitor activity and competitors' products;
Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector;

We are looking for
At least one year of experience in medical academia and a recognized master or higher degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, other engineering disciplines or similar
The following subjects may improve your chances:
A business or marketing degree
Degree or proven experience in life science or healthcare subjects are particularly useful
If you do not have a science or healthcare-related qualification, a solid background in business or sales is important.

patience and self-motivation;
analytical and planning skills;

Good English language skills and a driving license are essential.
There is a lot of travel with occasional absence from home overnight. It is typical to attend world-wide conferences and client dinners on some evenings. Overseas work is to be expected.
